Privacy & data protection

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Fast 3D Print Hub collects, why we use it, which service providers may receive it, and the choices and rights available to you.

Last updated: 6 September 2026
In short

We use your information to create quotes, convert images into 3D models when requested, manufacture and ship orders, process payments, provide customer support, secure the website, and — where permitted and with the required consent — measure and advertise our services. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

Fast 3D Print Hub operates the website fast3dprinthub.com and provides online 3D-printing quotation, model-conversion, manufacturing and fulfilment services.

For the personal data we decide how and why to process, Fast 3D Print Hub acts as the data controller. You can contact us at contact@fast3dprinthub.com.

If you operate Fast 3D Print Hub through a registered company, partnership or sole-trader business name, the legal operator details published on the website or invoice should be read together with this policy.

3. How we use personal data

We may use personal data to:

  • provide instant or manual 3D-printing quotations;
  • convert an uploaded image or concept into a 3D model when you request that service;
  • display a 3D preview and prepare manufacturing files;
  • check basic printability and prepare the model for production;
  • calculate manufacturing and delivery prices;
  • process payments and confirm transactions;
  • send manufacturing and delivery information to fulfilment providers;
  • communicate about quotes, orders, support requests, refunds or problems;
  • detect fraud, abuse, security incidents and technical errors;
  • keep business, accounting and tax records;
  • measure website performance and usage where lawful; and
  • measure or optimise advertising where you have provided any consent required by law.

5. Uploaded images, design files and AI processing

If you use our image-to-3D feature, the image you upload is transmitted to an AI 3D-generation provider so that a 3D model can be created. Generated model files may then be used to provide a preview, calculate a manufacturing quote, and fulfil an order.

Please upload only content you are permitted to use.
Avoid uploading confidential, sensitive or proprietary material unless it is necessary for the service and you are authorised to provide it. If an image contains another identifiable person, make sure you have an appropriate basis or permission to submit it.

AI-generated geometry can differ from the original image, particularly for hidden surfaces, precise dimensions and engineering features. Files used for functional or safety-critical parts may require additional review before production.

6. Service providers and recipients

We use third-party providers to operate the service. The information shared with a provider depends on the feature you use.

HostGator Website hosting and server infrastructure. Hosting systems may process website files, server logs, IP addresses and technical request data.
Meshy Image-to-3D and related AI processing. Uploaded images and generated model data may be sent to Meshy when you use AI model-generation features. Meshy Privacy Policy.
Slant 3D Manufacturing quotations, print production and fulfilment. Model files, print specifications, customer contact/delivery details and order information may be sent to Slant 3D when required to quote or fulfil a job. Slant 3D Privacy Statement.
Stripe Payment processing, transaction handling and fraud prevention. Stripe may collect payment and billing information directly from you. Stripe Privacy Policy.
FormSubmit Used for the manual quote/contact form where that form remains available. Information submitted through that form may pass through FormSubmit in order to deliver the enquiry. FormSubmit Privacy Information.
Google Analytics Website measurement and analytics, where enabled and where any required consent has been obtained. Google Privacy Policy.
Meta Pixel / Meta Business Tools Advertising measurement, attribution and audience features, where enabled and where any required consent has been obtained. Meta Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a genuine restructuring or transfer of the business, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies. Some are necessary for core functions such as security, sessions and checkout. Others, such as analytics or advertising technologies, may be non-essential.

Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential analytics or advertising technologies should be activated only after you have made a choice through the site's cookie/consent controls. You can change your choices through the consent controls when available, and you can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

Examples of third-party technologies that may be used include Google Analytics and Meta Pixel. Their operation may involve identifiers, browser/device data, page interactions, referral information and IP-derived information.

8. International data transfers

Some of our providers operate in, store information in, or provide support from countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States. This means personal data may be transferred internationally when we use those services.

Where required, international transfers are handled using a lawful transfer mechanism, which may include an adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or another safeguard recognised by applicable data-protection law.

9. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for any required legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute resolution period.

  • Quotes and enquiries: retained for a reasonable follow-up period and then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, unless they become part of an order.
  • Orders and transaction records: retained for the period needed to fulfil the order and comply with applicable accounting, tax and legal obligations.
  • Uploaded and generated files: retained for as long as needed to quote, review, manufacture, support or reproduce the requested job, subject to storage and retention practices of relevant service providers.
  • Security and technical logs: retained for a limited period appropriate for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

If you want us to delete an uploaded file that is no longer needed for an active order or legal requirement, contact us using the details below.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. These may include HTTPS encryption, access controls, restricted server-side API credentials, payment processing through specialised providers and measures intended to limit abuse of upload and API functionality.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Your data-protection rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal data. Under the GDPR, these can include the right to:

  • be informed about how your personal data is used;
  • request access to your personal data;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data in certain circumstances;
  • request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
  • receive certain personal data in a portable format;
  • object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • complain to a data-protection supervisory authority.

To exercise a privacy right, email contact@fast3dprinthub.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

If you are in Ireland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC).

12. Children's privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children under 16 through the service. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or by another appropriate method.
